Error 1157: Batch initialization failed.

Problem:

User gets the error message "Error 1157 Batch initialization failed", when trying to run our EXE or WBT file. Why is this happening?

Answer:

WinBatch is unable to locate its own WinBatch wbd___.dll

Possible reasons: WinBatch has been moved to a different directory after setup. Or the dll has some how been deleted.

Steps to take:

  1. Do a search for the wbd*.dll file to see if the file is located.
  2. If it is located make sure it is on the system path or in the WinBatch System subdirectory.
  3. If it is not found you may consider re-installing WinBatch.
