Question:
My hard disk died and I have to reinstall everything. When I try to reinstall comes up with an error message:3067 Function Syntax. Opening parenthesis missing a=AskYesNo(Version is outdated. Newer version may be available. Do you wish to continue the install") WinBatch 32.980 Wil Version 2.3gbnBut when I click on OK to continue the program terminates.I think the error is that the initial " is missing. But searching the disk for a=AskYesNo(Version has not found me the offending program.
Answer:
The setup programs for WinBatch 95A through 97E have a minor bug that first shows up on Feb 14, 1999. The setup program will cause a WinBatch 3067 error when attempting to warn the user that they are installing an outdated version of the product. This can easily be circumvented by simply setting the computer date back before Feb 14, 1999, installing the software, then resetting the correct date.Updated copies of the programs with corrected setup routines are available from Tech Support.
Installed and operational copies of the programs will not be affected by this bug.
