pDelPrtConn to Delete the Local Printer

Keywords: pDelPrtConn

Question:

I am using the pAddPrtConn and pDelPrtConn Printer Controller Extender functions to add and delete network printer connections in Windows NT Workstation 4.0. This works just fine. HOWEVER, when I issue the call to pDelPrtConn, it is deleting the NT Server print queue along with the local client printer connection! NOT GOOD!

Is there a trick to pDelPrtConn to get it to delete the local printer connection ONLY?

Answer:

That doesn't seem possible. Have you checked on the server itself (ie, at the server console) to see if the queue still exists?
