Answer to Question:

The user was getting a GPF when using xDriveReady with no disk in the floppy drive.

It turned out the user was doing some development work with the WIL SDK and had an older version of the WILX SDK, before some changes had been implemented into the code to address that particular problem (fixed April 10-18, 1995).

If you are having similar problems, make sure you have the most recent version of the WILX SDK source code.
