ipPing error 3

Question:

I am getting an error code of 3, when using the ipPing() function. This error code is not documented in the ipGrab HLP file.

When I try to ping a hostname that can not be resolved, I get the 3 code. If I ping an IP that does not exist, it simply times out.

Any thoughts?

Answer:

Sounds like the windows system error: 
3 (ERROR_PATH_NOT_FOUND) The system cannot find the path specified.

Sounds like you might need to have the script check for that possible error condition...
