Header Data in the Body of Email

Keywords: kSendText Postie Body Header MIME Junk Stuff carriage return line feed CR LF CRLF @CRLF

Question:

I am getting junk in the body of an email sent with the Postie function kSendText.

I get:

MIME-Version: 1.0
X-Mailer: POSTIE (May 25 2007 12:48:04)
X-Priority: 3 (Normal)
Importance: Normal
Date: Fri, 15 Jun 2012 15:06:05 -0700
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
***in the body of my Email.

Answer:

I suspect you have a carriage return line feed (@CRLF) in the subject of your email. It could be tripping up the SMTP servers and POP3 clients.

User Reply:

That was it. I probably meant to put most of that in the message rather than the Subject. Thanks!
