Process Names Are Truncated tListProc


A process object name may appear in the list returned from tListProc with part of the file name extension truncated. For example, "PhoneControlEventNotification.exe" may appear as "PhoneControlEventNotification.ex". This problem may cause other programs that depend upon these files to run incorrectly.

Apparently this problem may occur if you installed the hotfix that is mentioned in the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 327384. RESOLUTION
Hotfix Information
A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Windows 2000 service pack that contains this fix.
