Select Links That Contain Java Script Code

Question:

I've been pretty successful with OLE automation of MSIE, but I wanted to look at the WinInet extender.

How do you "click a link" which calls a javascript function defined in the page's HTML using the WinInet extender?

< A href="javascript:changeTab('provider');" > <IMG height=38
alt=Providers
src="Welcome to Anthem_com_files/home_providers_off.gif"
width=91 border=0 > < /A >

Answer:

For JavaScript you get to figure out the JavaScript and write code to emulate that, so see ifthe web page provider has given a non-javascript version of the link.

The Javascript is not processed by the WinInet extender.

Thus, if you want the javascript processed, the the OLE automation of MSIE method is recommended.
