iFtpPut Error 12002 ERROR_INTERNET_TIMEOUT

Question:

In my first try to ftp a file to a Unix server the program fials with error 12002 when sending a file to the server.

I use the single-file part from the Mainput example in the WinInet-help.

When executing the iFtpPut line, the dialog says: "Status: Response received..." and the names of source and destination files. On the server the file is created, zero-size.

What could be wrong?

Answer:

What happens if you change the iHostConnect service parameter @FTPPASSIVE?
conhandle=iHostConnect(tophandle,server,@FTPPASSIVE, userid,pswd)

Also, Are you able to FTP the file using Windows built in FTP.exe or any other FTP program? Check the passive transfer settings in that application.

User reply:

That's it! Thanks a lot!
