Error: Win95 Performed Illegal Operation when using DunItemize Function
Keywords: DunItemize Invalid Page Fault
Question:
I downloaded a copy of your Internet extender and am running your
DUNConnect script, from the help file, and when it gets to the DunItemize
function
sDialUps = dunItemize ()
(I'm running in Debug mode), I'm getting "Windows 95 Performed an
Illegal Operation...".
Answer:
You have to have Dial-Up Networking and at least one connectoid
set up on the machine where you're running the script.
You'll get the Invalid Page Fault error if you do not have DUN set up.
Question:
DunItemize seems to work on NT 4 with Service Pak 3 installed, but
doesn't on NT 4.0 without the Service Pak.
Answer:
You must have service pak 3 installed on NT 4.0 for DunItemize() to work.
The service pak fixes a bug in DUN.
If you don't have the service pak installed, the function will return an empty string.
