!! Parallel Port Extender Status !!
Question:
I'm confused as to why the Parallel Port Extender is no longer supported, according to Microsoft tech support there is no reason that your dll's cannot access the serial port in XP SP2, many other programming languages do, and I have a competitive batch system that works fine with the parallel and serial port controls they provide, they're just out of business and no longer updating the product.Answer:
NOTE: our Serial extender can get to a serial port.It is just the parallel extender that only works on the 95/98/ME platforms. We've not yet seen anyway to access it without OS modifications...
