The "current" version of the Pixie extender is fairly old and doesn't support many of the newer image formats such as .PNG files.
When you install ImageMagick, check the option to install the ImageMagick object. The ImageMagick program folder will contain ImageMagickObject.dll which can be viewed with the WIL Type Viewer. Additionally, there's some sample vbscript code provided in an ImageMagickObject folder.
Notes: ImageMagick is freely available without charge; you may include ImageMagick on a CD-ROM as long as you comply with the terms of the license;
