Newer WBCs called from Older EXE

Keywords: Newer WBCs called from Older EXE encode for calls

Question:

I've recompiled my main calling EXE using the older version of Winbatch that I've been using for a long time, 99p, so that I can keep all his DLLs on the system as is.

Then I recompiled a bunch of the call'ed WBT as WBC's with 2001N.

All seems to work fine, but is there any inherent problem that I should be aware of in doing this, in which case I can go through the trouble of recompiling everything as the same version and redeploying all the DLLs.

Answer:

Ummm. Hmmm. I dunno. I think it maybe should work. In something like 99A 99b 99c time frame we changed the format of WBC, but you seem safely past that point.

You do have to remember to not use any new functions...
