Inf Install
Question:
Does anyone know how to install a .inf file in XP/2000? I used to use rundll with setupapi and the .inf file but that does not work in XP/2000. Do I use rundll32 and if so what are the parameters?Answer:
Depends. Try ShellExecute on the .inf file and see if you get lucky. Note: Looking in registry I found the following commandline which may be of interest.[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\inffile\shell\APInst\command] @="rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %1, DefaultInstall"
