Send Control Break to a Window

Question:

one of my winbatch programs is used to control and launch an old dos database. i've had great success using sendkeysto to do may things.

however, i cannot get it to use {CANCEL} to send a control-break "key". Tests of {CANCEL} to other dos windows show that something is happening (which looks like a Control=Break). Also, typing Control-Break manually at the active window works every time.

is there any way to get sendkeysto() to do this?

is there an alternative such as using the paste buffer (how would i get control-break into the buffer)?

Answer:

Control-break is special, and may not be simulated properly.

How about trying sending Ctrl-C ("^c")?
