Translating ANSI Sequences

Keywords: ANSI codes

Question:

I have a file with the 2;13H entries, which are ANSI codes. Is there a way to convert this ansi to plain text?

Answer:

ANSI character sequences are basically an ESC code followed by a few characters.

If you have some data in a LINE variable (from FileRead --- see our FileRead example elsewhere on this web site), you can whack it with a few STRREPLACE functions to convert it back to normal text.

You have to track down the ANSI sequences that you have to translate. It should not be real real bad.
