How to Determine the Shape of the Cursor

Question:
In a client server environment I need to know the form of the cursor to know if I can a search is over or if i have to wait. If i have to wait there is an animated gif (from the C/S App) otherwise the cursor has an other shape.A call to a Windows DLL? A winbatch function I missed?

Look in the Control Manager extender.cGetWndCursor
