RegEdit Merge Into 64-bit Registry

Keywords: RegEdit RegEdit.exe Import Export Merge 64-bit Registry Run ShellExecute RunShell

Question:

32-bit WinBatch on 64-bit Windows 7. I'm using Runshell of C:\Windows\RegEdit.exe to import a registry key into the registry. That would be the way to do it, right? C:\Windows\RegEdit.exe?

It's being redirected to WOW6432Node and I don't know why. If I run the same command manually (C:\Windows\Regedit.exe /s ) it imports to the 64-bit registry.

Answer:

Sounds like your script might be redirecting you to the 32-bit editor: C:\Windows\syswow64\regedit.exe. Try adding IntControl 92 to disable redirection.
