Rasmon

Keywords:   rasmon

USE SCRIPT AT YOUR OWN RISK! Not Responsible for anything!!

To determine if you should use rasmon instead of rasmon2 (RasmonBeta) examine the IMPORTANT INFO below!!

The Program needs to be have all files located in the C:\RasMon folder. The program also requires the dumpel.exe from the NT4 Resource Kit. The dumpel.exe included with the 3.51 does not allow for the correct extraction of information. The program was tested with the dumpel.exe from NT4 Resource Kit on a 3.51 server!

RasMon can be ran from any machine in the domain and Rasmon2 (RasmonBeta) must be local to the RAS Server.

At last check the dumpel.exe was at:

ftp.micosoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public/reskit/nt40
Files located in the C:\RasMon folder are:

dumpel.exe	From NT4 ResKit (Works on both 3.51 and 4)
rasmon.exe	File doing the work
rasmon.ini	Configuration File (Requires Setup!)
rasmon2.exe	File doing the work
rasmon2.ini	Configuration File (Requires Setup!)
help.txt	This File:)
The program will create all other files necessary to operate. Files it will create are:

WBDBP32I.dll	File required for program
Cheater.txt	Listing of users logged on to more than 1 port
Ras.txt File generated by program and dumpel.exe
Ras1.txt	File generated by program
The format of the RasMon.ini should be as follows:

===================example begins below===============
DomainName
ServerName
ComX
ComX+1
ComX+2
ComX+N
===================example ended======================
The DomainName is the name of your domain
The ServerName is the name of the server Running RAS
ComX is the first com port you want to monitor
ComX+N is the last.

Note they do not have to be in sequence only the ports you want to monitor.

The format of the RasMon2.ini should be as follows:

===============example begins below===============
ComX
ComX+1
ComX+2
ComX+N
==============example ended======================
The DomainName is the name of your domain
The ServerName is the name of the server Running RAS
ComX is the first com port you want to monitor
ComX+N is the last.

Note they do not have to be in sequence only the ports you want to monitor.
