How to Send Keystrokes to a Console Window
Keywords: emulate emulator emulating emulates
Question:
Can WB send keystrokes to a console window? My window does not have a window
title, so I'm using Sendkey, rather than SendKeysTo.
Answer:
WB can send keystrokes to emulator-type windows, with the following stipulations:
- The window must be run as a Normal window, rather than zoomed or iconized.
- The window must be the active window in order to use Sendkey.
- Some terminal emulator windows are weird and require that you push,
for example, the right control key twice, on a different part of the keyboard
than WB can access. WB cannot handle this.
