Question:
Does the Local System account have mulitple tokens, like the administrator: standard user token and admin token? If so, which token would be used when running AsInvoker?Answer:
Multiple tokens? I don't think so. Our understanding and testing seems to confirm that UAC is not applicable to the Local System account. FOr Example: If you set up a script to run via Scheduled Tasks on Windows 7 as System, it has full access to everything (accept the network). No worries about UAC in that case. The System Account is commonly used to avoid the UAC elevation prompt.Article ID: W18327
