Display a Toast Notification

Question:

I would like it to display a toast notification as decribed at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh465448.aspx. Is there any way to use the java examples in a Winbatch script?

Answer:

WinBatch is a desktop application and does not directly support the WinRT API (Windows Store App API which should not be confused with the WinRT version of Windows that runs on ARM processors ). Since the WinRT API is both COM (not COM Automation) based and written in native C++, future consideration will be given to directly supporting it as the demand materializes.

In the mean time you could consider adding a notification to the Notification area of the desktop which should be doable in WinBatch. See IntControl 1007.
