WinMacro Not Responding

Keywords: Sendkey Mouse Not Responding Hang Ignore Keyboard

Question:

When I attempt to record a macro all of the keyboard and mouse commands are ignored. Why?

Answer:

This comes up about once a year but We really don't have an answer because we have never been able to reproduce it. It could be anti-virus software; a virus or worm or key logger; a legitimate application that also sets a system hook but does not pass the input on to WinMacro is the correct way; or none of the above. We don't think is that there is any change we can make to address the problem.

The only solution we can think of (and it is not a very good one) is to shut down applications and services one at a time until WinMacro starts working. That would at least give you a clue to the source of the problem.

User Reply:

The problem might be solved! It was just as you said: the anti-virus software is involved! After I pause or disable or quit the anti-virus software, the Winbatch and Winmacro run correctly!

I simply added the popmenu.exe to the credible program area of kaspersky anti-virus. The winbatch and winmacro can be running with the kaspersky anti-virus at the same time.

Thank you very much!
