Crash Combobox Item Change
Question:
Attached is some code that causes WinBatch to crash. The GPF seems to occur when I place an uninitialized variable (“fred”) in the MSG_COMBOCHANGE procedure. I can also recreate the error if I force some other fatal errors in the MSG_COMBOCHANGE procedure. I tested on XP using the 2004B Beta.Answer:
It is a strange bug that MSFT introduces into WinXP. It has to do with synchronization of the mouse button up message with the WM_QUIT message. It should only be a problem when you specify the "list only" style. It will be fixed in the next release (2004C).Article ID: W15830
