Compiled EXE Keeps Running Under Task Manager

Question:

I seem to be having an issue. I have a script that I compiled to .exe. The script (program) runs perfectly except for 1 thing. After the program terminates it still shows it under the Windows 2000 Pro. Task Manager, under the Processes Tab. It does not close it totally down even though the bug checker states program terminated successfully.

The code accesses Outlook to send email and uses Redemption to help surpress security dialogs.

Answer:

Ack. Redemption. Redemption has bugs. Well, the Redemption people call it a feature. Part of Redemption stays loaded so that the next redemption action runs faster since some of it is already loaded. Since WinBatch started it, WinBatch is kind of still there also.

There is no way for WinBatch to close Redemption. Maybe instead of using Redemption and Outlook to send email use the Postie Extender instead. That will resolve your problem.
