Windows 3.1 Secrets: Missing default.wbt file
Keywords: Windows 3.1 secrets diskettes
Problem:
I installed WinBatch from the Windows 3.1 Secrets diskettes.
When I tried to run WINBATCH ICON by double clicking on the WinBatch owl icon,
I received an error message that
DEFAULT.WBT file was missing.
Answer:
WinBatch is looking for DEFAULT.wbt because nothing else was specified.
You don't need this file to use the product. If you would like to add it,
you can create a new directory under WinBatch (call it DEFAULT.wbt) and copy
SOL.WBT to it. When you click on the WinBatch.exe, it accesses the DEFAULT.wbt
file giving you a list box of options. In this case, SOL.WBT.
To really use WinBatch, you need to use an editor (like Notepad) to create a
script, give it a .WBT file extension, and then you will be able to access it
from running the WinBatch.exe icon.
