Index of Droplistbox Selection

Keywords: index number selected item droplistbox SendMessageA 387 CB_GETCURSEL CB_SETCURSEL

Question:

Is there any way of geting the index number of the selected item in a droplistbox? It is definitely possible for a dynamic list to have duplicate strings in the list... so getting the selected INDEX would be very very valuable. I've tried:
SendMessageA(DialogControlGet(dialog0,'cAppEdit_config_cbx',19),387,0,0)
387 is the constant for CB_GETCURSEL. I always get zero as a return :/

Answer:

Make sure you are calling "CB_SETCURSEL" (334) in the dialog's init event (0). This should then allow you to call CB_GETCURSEL can get a valid index value.
