Keywords: registry incorrect licensing information invalid
Winbatch and Winbatch+Compiler needs to write some information into your registry. (Winbatch does NOT need access to the StartMenu during licensing, however, although it does for installation.)
To change the licensing information for WB or Compiler, you can also go into the Registry, (for Win95/NT), under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wilson WindowWare\Settings\WWW-PROD\WBC32I\INFO[]and delete the INFO= data information in the registry. Then start up Compiler, and enter the new licensing information.
If you are trying to install on an NT server, you must have the appropriate administrative privileges to be able to write to the registry. Because during licensing, we (1) write the licensing info into the INFO= part of the registry; then (2) we read the registry to see that the right number of characters, etc. were typed in. So if you go into the registry, and nothing was written into the INFO= part of registry, then you don't have all the necessary privileges to be able to license WB. Remember, you do not need a special network license for WB when you're installing WB directly onto the server.
