Installing WinBatch Without Running Setup

Question:

I hate running WinBatch setup, so I've tried to restore onto my new PC from backups.

I copy all the files, re-enter the registration information (all of it, including the CLSID key in HKCR for FileMenu), re-create my shortcuts, and reboot.

Everything works fine, except for FileMenu. FileMenu never loads unless I run setup. It's not a big deal, just an annoyance, but I'd like to know I can restore Winbatch on my system without always running setup.

Did I miss a registry key? Or, is there something else I need to do?

Answer:

Yes, you most likely missed a registry entry that puts File Menu on the context menu in the Windows Explorer.

Did you get this one?

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\FileMenu
Note the * in the key

P.S. There is an Install.log file that keeps track of that the install program did (in the WinBatch\System directory.

Might look in there and check off the registry keys.
