Netwarex Support for NW6 NDS 8 eDirectory

1. Netware 6 (NW3,4,5 are mentioned, but not NW6)?

   No problems with NetWare v6.x. You might find some references to particular bits of functionality that are only present on NetWare v5.x [or newer] servers, but those bits of functionality will also work properly with NetWare v6.x.

2. NDS 8 (?, or whatever the latest version of NDS is)?

   Again, no problems with any versions of NDS and/or eDirectory.

3. eDirectory (I believe this is one of the other WinBatch extenders, not NetwareX?) ?

   The name of the directory service was changed from NDS to eDirectory when it became possible to install the directory service on platforms other than NetWare. Novell felt that it would be strategic for the marketing of the product to remove the ties to the NetWare platform from the name of the product.

4. LDAP (Novell's product/version) (same as eDirectory?) ?

   eDirectory natively supports LDAP v3. With older versions of NDS, it was necessary to install and add-on product that served as an LDAP gateway into NDS. Now, however, the LDAP server functionality is built into eDirectory itself.
